NEC Infrontia (formerly Nitsuko) was founded in 1918, and began as a company that develops, manufactures and markets telecommunication equipment and components. Currently, the NEC Infrontia Group is engaged in three business areas, i-Communication System, i-Appliance, and i-Solution, and has established a wide market base both overseas and in Japan. The Group consists of a
network of 27 operation bases run directly by NEC Infrontia throughout Japan, as well as affiliated companies in Japan and overseas that provide a total service, from development and manufacturing to sales, installation and after sales services.
On June 1, 2001, former Nitsuko Corporation merged with the divisions of NEC Corporation handling key telephones (telephony
systems for enterprises) and POS (point of sales) terminals, and changed its name to NEC Infrontia Corporation. Moreover
on July 1, 2006, we merged with the product development division of NEC Corporation handling business network systems,
to enhance product development capabilities, and newly started as the core company in NEC group responsible for the
development of IP telephony systems.
